“You have spinach in your teeth.”
Honesty can sometimes sting, but it’s always the quickest and fairest way to do business. Without our integrity, we’re nothing.
But we’re going to do it on our own terms.
A firm that cares deeply about clients, candidates and colleagues.
But also a firm that couldn’t care less about old school ties, shiny shoes or office politics.
Nobody will ever work for our business.
The business will always work for us.
We do it because it’s well paid, interesting and gives us a huge sense of achievement. If any of those three aren’t on offer, we won’t even take the search.
We’ll make sure we always have fun, nice things and an enviable reputation for placing great people.
Honesty can sometimes sting, but it’s always the quickest and fairest way to do business. Without our integrity, we’re nothing.
We deliver the goods, always. Accountability is worryingly rare these days.
We’ll provide training, resources and a sense of fun. The rest is entirely up to you. Commuting can do one. It’s your lifestyle, you live it.
Cheap always has a market. Fast always has a market. Quality and results always win.
There’s nothing we enjoy more than a good needle hunt. We haven’t lost a game yet. In search, resilience matters.
We only work in the datacenter world, so we understand the industry better than most. Knowledge is power.

I was shocked, surprised, breathless, but very quickly felt invigorated. I’ve been working in recruitment for 34 years; but nothing prepared me for the rush of trying completely new methods and processes. Or having a boss who’s as likely to call me from a Peruvian mountain top as an office.
There’s only one thing that matters at Ward – and that’s ‘getting the job done’. We have complete freedom to work where, when we like, and how we like.
That’s a huge level of trust, and we repay it by never, ever failing. We follow a rigorous but well-oiled process. Our calls are scheduled, our researchers find candidates, and that leaves me to get on with what I enjoy most: reaching, attracting, assessing and managing candidates. The team is dotted all over the world, which means we can use timezones to our benefit (and there’s always one of us who is chomping at the bit after their early morning coffee). That energy and round-the-clock world-view is infectious and addictive. On the flip side, if you need time to go and do your own thing – you don’t even have to ask. If the job is done, your time is your own.

I’ve had a few bosses before, and they all seem to fall into one of two categories – ‘cuddly care bear’ or ‘psychopath’. And, while Ward can be highly driven and results focussed, and always puts personal welfare first – he’s not really like a normal boss. He’s just an ordinary guy from the north of England who is totally, utterly, unshakably focussed with delivering.
Communication throughout the business is quick, honest, and jargon free – I’m told that’s the northern roots! And we are all given the freedom to grow and excel – at work and at play. Work comes first, results aren’t up for negotiation. But everything else is. I’ve never felt better supported or more free to be myself.
