Vantage Data Centers Launches First Taipei Data Centre
Vantage Data Centers has inaugurated its first data center in Taipei, Taiwan. The new facility is designed to meet the increasing demand for high-quality, scalable data infrastructure in the region. REIT Digital Realty Snaps Up $200M Data Centre in West London
Digital Realty, a leading global provider of data center solutions, has acquired a data center in West London for $200 million. This strategic acquisition is part of Digital Realty’s expansion efforts to enhance its footprint in key markets.

EdgeConneX Partners with TA Realty for 324MW Data Centre
EdgeConneX has teamed up with TA Realty to develop a 324MW data center. This partnership aims to expand EdgeConneX’s data center footprint and cater to the rising demand for high-performance, low-latency digital infrastructure.
TA Digital Group revealed the campus is positioned “strategically in a key Atlanta sub-market,” which serves as a “crucial element in the company’s broader plan to develop large-scale data centre complexes in major metropolitan areas.”
EdgeConnex is already active in the Atlanta area, but with two far smaller facilities. It currently offers 1.5MW of capacity at its ATL01 site, and 4.5MW at ATL02, although the latter is planned for 9MW.
The new facility will be equipped with advanced technologies to support various data-driven applications and services, enhancing the overall digital ecosystem.
PowerHouse Breaks Ground on 800MW Data Center Campus in Spotsylvania County, Virginia
PowerHouse Data Centers has commenced construction on an 800MW data center campus in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
The AREP-owned company announced the completed purchase of 145 acres in Spotsylvania in January. The campus will total up to 800MW across three substations, and see a maximum of eight three-story buildings built, totaling 3.5 million sq ft (325,160 sqm).
This massive project is set to become one of the largest data center campuses in the region, providing significant capacity to meet the growing demands of the digital economy. The campus will feature cutting-edge technology and infrastructure to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient data services.
CyrusOne Breaks Ground on FRA7 Data Center in Frankfurt, Germany
CyrusOne has initiated construction on its new FRA7 data center in Frankfurt, Germany. The facility will enhance CyrusOne’s presence in Europe, providing high-performance, scalable data solutions to support the region’s growing digital infrastructure needs.
The data center is part of a major waste heat utilization project, across the two buildings 40MW of waste heat will be delivered to the Frankfurt Westside campus heating network at full capacity.
This will be done via heat exchangers to pipe network infrastructure which will be built and enabled by BEOS. Depending on the heat requirement, the temperature can be increased via a solar powered heat pump. The FRA7 data center will incorporate state-of-the-art technology to ensure efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
IXAfrica Data Centres and Schneider Electric Launch AI-Ready Data Center in Nairobi, Kenyar
IXAfrica Data Centres, in collaboration with Schneider Electric, has launched an AI-ready data center in Nairobi, Kenya.
“The solutions provided by Schneider Electric are engineered to support N+1 redundancy with four independent power trains, meeting IXAfrica’s immediate and long-term objectives, including design 1.25 PUE across the campus, as well as a 99.999 percent uptime guarantee,” said Ifeanyi Odoh, Schneider Electric’s country president in East Africa.
This facility aims to support the rapid growth of AI and digital services in Africa. Equipped with advanced technology, the Nairobi data center will provide scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions, enhancing the region’s digital infrastructure and fostering innovation.
Vantage Launches Second Data Center in Switzerland
Vantage Data Centers has opened its second data center in Switzerland. This new facility is part of Vantage’s strategic expansion to strengthen its presence in Europe.
The company shared that it was working on the facility, located north of Zurich’s City Center in Glattfelden, earlier this year.
Set on 1 acre, the two-story facility offers a total of 226,000 square feet (21,000 sqm) of space and 24MW of critical IT capacity. The company has reportedly invested more than CHF 370 million ($405 million) into the project.
The Swiss data center will offer high-performance, scalable data solutions, addressing the increasing demand for digital infrastructure and supporting various digital transformation initiatives across the region.
CODISA Data Center Inaugurated in El Salvador
CODISA has officially inaugurated a new data center in El Salvador. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to provide high-quality, reliable data services to meet the growing digital needs of businesses in the region.
The Altius park has eight office buildings and a data center for a total of 46,000 sqm (495,000 sq ft) of leasable area. All of the buildings on the site are be powered by a solar farm located at the technology park.
The facility is also the first Uptime Tier III certified colocation facility in the country. Banco de America Central also has a Tier III certified facility in the country, in San Marcos.
The new data center will support El Salvador’s digital economy by offering scalable and efficient data infrastructure solutions, fostering technological advancement and innovation.
Colt Acquires Land in Navi Mumbai for 100MW Data Center
Colt Data Centre Services has acquired land in Navi Mumbai, India, to develop a 100MW data center. This strategic move aims to expand Colt’s presence in the Indian market and address the increasing demand for digital infrastructure.
Persons with direct knowledge of the development have suggested Colt will invest Rs 8,500 crore ($1 billion) into the project.
The site will reportedly offer 100MW in 30MW phases, in addition to the 25MW facility already in operation.

Conapto Launches 20MW Stockholm South Data Center
Conapto has launched a new 20MW data center in Stockholm South, Sweden. This facility is designed to meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the region, providing high-performance and sustainable data solutions.
The Stockholm 2 facility has a capacity of 4MW across five computer rooms. Conapto added its Stockholm 4 data center is powered by 100 percent renewable energy via Vattenfall 24/7 and is prepared for heat reuse and liquid cooling. The facility is also optimized for AI workloads and high-density loads.
The Stockholm South data center will support various digital services and applications, enhancing Conapto’s ability to deliver reliable and efficient data infrastructure.
LCRDC Launches Micro Data Center Site in Liverpool, UK
Liverpool City Region Digital Connectivity (LCRDC) has launched a new micro data center site in Liverpool, UK. This facility is part of LCRDC’s efforts to enhance digital infrastructure in the region, providing scalable and reliable data services.
“This new generation of small-scale data centers will help enable 5G applications, media streaming, driverless cars, drone deliveries, and the Internet of Things, especially with such data centers being installed deep within communities,” the company said.
LCRDC provides Edge, micro, and core colocation services from sites in Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens, and the Wirral. The Liverpool micro data center will support local businesses and digital initiatives, fostering innovation and technological advancement.
