Azora and Cora Capital join forces to launch a new $540 million data centre platform focused on the Iberian Peninsula.

Santiago Olivares, partner in charge of energy, infrastructure, and sustainability investments at Azora, expressed said the venture is as part of their strategy to invest in sustainable infrastructure.

Goodman Group announces plans to redevelop a former Sydney TV studio site into an 80MW data centre.

“We purchased the site because of its scale, and its location in a tightly held market,” Jason Little, CEO Australia at Goodman Group, said after the sale. “This is aligned to our strategy of owning assets in markets where barriers to entry are high, supply is limited, and demand is strong.”

Goodman aims to demolish the existing buildings to make way for the new data centre.

According to filings with the California Energy Commission, the company aims to develop the Bowers Data Center (BDC) and Bowers Backup Generating Facility (BBGF).

Set on just over five acres, the data center would be a four-story building and substation, while the generating facility would consist of 32 2MW generators offering up to 72MW of capacity to provide backup power in the event of a grid outage.
