1547 Critical Systems Realty plans to develop a massive 290MW greenfield data centre in Pennsylvania, highlighting the increasing demand for high-capacity and sustainable data infrastructure in the region.
John Bonczek, Chief Revenue Officer for 1547 Realty, said: “What makes this location optimal for hyperscale development, besides the power capacity and carbon-free power capabilities we offer, is also the financial incentives.
“Chester County has some of the best incentives available for large-scale compute infrastructure deployments including the fact that we qualify for the state’s sales tax that applies to all data centre developments and includes all construction equipment, materials, data centre furnishings, fit-out and IT equipment.
“This combined with the immense amount of power and proximity to unique power sources, including nuclear energy capabilities, is a game-changer for new mass-scale developments in the region.”
The project signifies a significant investment in the state’s data centre ecosystem.

Alan Duong, Meta infra data centre global engineering director, emphasised the strategic importance of efficient fibre deployment, stating, “We need a significant amount of fibre to interconnect these servers.”
The facility is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Meta’s AI technologies, underscoring the integration of data centres with cutting-edge applications.
AWS to Invest $10 Billion in New Mississippi Megascale Data Centre Network

“We decided to make Ceará our hub in the Americas. QTS Files to Expand Fort Worth Data Centre Campus in Texas
QTS Realty Trust files for expansion to its Fort Worth data centre campus in Texas, indicating the continued growth of data centre facilities in the state.
Located at 14100 Park Vista Blvd in Tarrant County, the company aims to develop a new two-story, 42MW data center as an “addition” to the company’s existing campus. The building is set to span 471,875 sq ft (43,840 sqm) and see $220 million invested in the project. Construction is due to run from March 2024 to April 2026.
QTS’ existing facility on Park Vista Blvd offers 50MW across 263,000 sq ft (24,435 sqm). The campus is described on QTS’ site as 26 acres with 27 acres of adjacent land held for expansion. The expansion aligns with the rising demand for data services in the region.
Chirisa Real Estate acquires two data centres in Washington and New Jersey, along with expanding its existing sites in Virginia and Illinois.
Lee Hayes, managing director of Chirisa and president of CTP, said: “We have employed a patient and long-term strategy at CTP, leveraging our close industry relationships from Chirisa’s 25+ year involvement as an investor and operator in tech and telecoms. AWS Gets Green Light for First Chile Data Centre

STT GDC is a major colocation service provider, and is aiming to attract customers who are looking for a reliable data centre colocation partner, to increase their customer outreach in Chennai and the southern part of India. At present, STT GDC has three data centres in Chennai: STT Chennai DC 1 in VSB, and STT Chennai DC 2 and 3 in Ambattur. STT Chennai 4 and the newly launched STT Chennai 7 (Siruseri campus) are still under development.
